THE MSEP FOUNDATION
The MSEP Foundation is a Dutch non-profit organization registered as “Stichting MSEP” that financially supports the MSEP.one Project, an open-source molecular engineering platform conceived by nano-technology thought-leader Dr. Eric Drexler. The Foundation was formed in Fubruary, 2025 to administer charitable contributions that are made to the MSEP.one Project.
The MSEP Foundation uses charitable contributions on behalf of the MSEP.one Project, in particular for:
- Hiring developers to work part-time or full-time on MSEP.one, and related projects
- Hiring artists to create high quality artwork releated to MSEP.one and/or its gamification under a permissive license
- Purchasing hardware required to develop MSEP.one and other foundation projects
- Paying for hosting of some web services
- Covering travel costs to some important industry events (e.g. Foresight Institute Molecular Systems Engineering Platform Launch & Nanomachines Workshop)
- Producing merchandise for events (T-shirts, banners, stickers, etc.)
OUR MISSION
The mission of the MSEP Foundation is to financially support the growth, initiatives and activities of the MSEP.one Project, an open-source project that provides a Molecular Engineering Software Platform, along with related educational content.
The MSEP Foundation’s goals include:
- Create a powerful platform that supports building engineering tools for the design and simulation of molecular machines
- Build a professional grade tool on top of the platform for use by subject matter experts
- Develop a gamified version to help novices explore the concepts of nanoscale technology
